U.S. History I

1st / 2nd / 3rd Period

Monday:

Classwork: Issue student books (books must be covered)
                   Issue class syllabus and class procedures ( This will include contact info)
                       -Please sign and return this by Thursday
                   Begin class discussion on Chapter 1 section 1

Homework: Read Chapter 1 section 1 "Geography of the Americas"



Tuesday:

Classwork: Current Events (each day we will discuss the news)
                    Continue discussion/ notes on Ch. 1 section 1


Homework: Complete Ch. 1 section 1 Assessment on pg. 11


Wednesday:

Classwork: Finish Ch. 1 section 1 notes/ Begin Ch. 1 section 2
Homework: Read Ch. 1 section 2

Thursday:

Classwork: Class discussion/notes on Ch. 1 section 2
Homework: Complete Ch. 1 section 2 Assessment on pg. 18

Friday:

Classwork: Quiz on Ch. 1 section 1-2
Homework: Read Chapter 1 section 3

Classwork: Absolute Location class exercise (finding longitude / latitude)
Homework: Read Ch. 1 section 2

Friday:

Classwork: Complete class exercise if needed / Discussion on Ch. 1 section 2
Homework: Complete all vocabulary for Ch. 1 section 2


P.E. - 6th period

-Each day students should bring tennis shoes, athletic shorts, and a THA t-shirt
-Their grade will be based on participation in group activities
-Over the course of this year they will learn about flexibility and the fundamentals of weight lifting.
